Last race of the season and a short race at that.
A beautiful day and 3 laps of the Great Orme to go. With a field of 30 women set to ride it was a small race but a fantastic circuit.
I set off not feeling that great, sure I was starting with a cold. The first lap was just a selection of who could get up the hill, with the group whittled down on the second time up the climb I pressed on up one of the small rises and I had a little gap so I continued to put to pressure on. I was caught by the group on the descent. A few others tried to attack but no gaps were formed.
Passing through the finish with one lap to go about 10 of us were left.
I waited till about 3/4 of the way up the climb to attack again.
I gained a gap, I managed to stay away to take the win by 13 seconds.
Pleased to have won my last race of 2015.
