With a short fast circuit and 50 entry’s for the women’s race I wasn’t really looking forward to the race.
However with a good start off the line I began to think it might not be so bad.
With a lull in the bunch I attacked to gain a small gap, but with the racing being neutralised due to the ambulance having to be brought onto the course the race was re-started as a bunch.
This resulting in my legs feeling awful setting off again with all the work ahead of me again.

Never the less I got myself back at the front.
Becky had a few attacks and I countered this making the race quite interesting and very active.
A great team effort with Charlotte sprinting to 3rd and Becky 7th.
I was 13th and I won the most attacking rider prize.
A great event with a good atmosphere and good team work from Corley-Drops girls throughout the race!
